Our Responsibility
Operating with integrity, transparency, and unwavering commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and the communities we serve.
Safety & Integrity First
At Concord Bulk Carrier Inc., safety is not just a priority—it's our core value. We maintain the highest standards of pipeline integrity through rigorous inspection, maintenance, and emergency preparedness programs. Our commitment to safety extends beyond our facilities to the communities we serve.
Protecting Our Planet
Concord is governed by and adheres to all applicable federal, state and local environmental regulations.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
We comply with all EPA standards to protect human and environmental health. Our facilities meet strict limits on pollutants and we actively promote energy efficiency, environmental stewardship, and pollution prevention.
Clean Water Initiatives
We maintain rigorous water quality protection programs at all our terminals, ensuring that our operations do not impact local water resources through comprehensive spill prevention and response plans.
Air Quality Management
Our facilities utilize advanced emissions control technology and regular monitoring to ensure compliance with the Clean Air Act and state air quality regulations.
Federal & State Oversight
Federal Regulatory Agencies
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)
The FERC is an independent federal agency that regulates and oversees energy industries in the interest of the public. This includes oversight of interstate natural gas transportation and storage facilities. FERC issues standards for business practices which provides major guidance for operating our facilities.
Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA)
PHMSA ensures safety in the design, construction, operation, maintenance and spill response planning of gas transportation pipelines and their related facilities. Specific regulations cover materials, construction, operations, integrity management and personnel qualifications. PHMSA personnel routinely inspect all areas of pipeline operations.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
The EPA's mission is to protect human and environmental health. The agency creates standards and laws to protect and conserve the natural environment. It oversees programs to promote energy efficiency, environmental stewardship, sustainable growth, air and water quality, and pollution prevention.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
OSHA ensures safe and healthful working conditions by setting and enforcing standards and providing training, outreach, education and assistance. We maintain full compliance with OSHA standards across all our facilities to protect our workforce.
Bureau of Land Management (BLM)
The BLM oversees mineral estates located beneath federal, state, and private land. We work closely with the BLM to ensure responsible management of mineral resources while sustaining the health, diversity and productivity of public lands.
Department of Energy (DOE)
The DOE addresses energy, environmental and nuclear challenges through science and technology solutions. We align with DOE initiatives on energy conservation and domestic energy production.
